This conference has been organised by The Environmental Network of North Somerset (TENONS) where Walter is a member.
The conference will be well attended by people of all works of life and amongst them will include stakeholders, politicians, university accademics and specialists in various disciplines.
At the end of each presentation there will be a session of  questions from the audience and answers or explanations from both presenters. It is expected that the press will be present to cover the event.
Members of the public and the association are invited. There is a car park just behind the hall.

Mayor's Invitation

The Town Mayor Councillor Mrs Paula Howell and Consort, Mr John Howell have extended an inviatation to members of the association to an evening reception at Grove House, Weston super Mare. The occasion will start at 7.30pm on the 20th April 2007.
It should be recalled that when the Mayor attended the asoociation's new year party on the 3rd of February 2007, she stressed the importance of not only the association being part of her community but  also the fact that the community should be part of our association.
Intimate sources asociated with the Mayor's office indicate that her invitation is highly connected to our excellent participation during the "TOGETHER WE STAND" occasion organised at the Winter Garden Complex on the 24th of February 2007.
Members are expected to attend this grand ceremony in their traditional costumes similar to that at the Winter Gardens.

Meeting of 16th April 2007

Another session of the Association was held at 66A Devonshire Road, Weston-S-Mare on the 16th of April. The meeting was heavily attended and had guests who were very excited about the manner and conduct of the deliberations. Among the guests present were Rose Hughes (secretary TENONS) and Rosemary Dowie (Chair TENONS). They expressed happiness and were very delighted about the association’s activities. They explained briefly the objectives of The Environmental Network of North Somerset (TENONS) indicating that environmental issues irrespective of where they occur affect the entire world. They expressed the desire to have members of the association gaining membership with TENONS.

Also present as guests were 2 representatives of the Black & Minority Ethnic Forum Project, North Somerset Mr. Elvis Johnson & wife who expressed similar feelings and stressed how the association’s name had gone out of Weston area from the day we participated at the “TOGETHER WE STAND” ceremony at the Winter Gardens. Both informed members of their respective duties and stressed to give total support to the group when needed. They participated in all events of the evening including, dancing, singing and discursions. They commended the association for the great name they have achieved just within a very short time in and out of the Weston area and stressed that we keep up with the high spirit.

Another special guest Anne Barba working for an independent organisation for theatre arts, music and culture gave an elaborate talk on her activities with her organisation. She offered an invitation to the association to join them at a musical and cultural festival some time in September 2007. This festival is due to take place in a studio complex having a capacity of more than 200 seats in Weston.  Members of the association applauded her gesture and unanimously accepted her invitation to that activity. They promised to extend the Cameroon culture to the people of Weston and beyond.

Next Meeting/20th May:

The next general meeting that is normally scheduled for 16th of May has now been moved to the 20th of May to coincide with our National Day. The program for that day will be a combination of the normal meeting and celeberation of the National Day. However, meeting delebrations will be very brief to give enough time for the usual May Day Celebrations.
As usual friends of the association are welcome. The venue will be at 105 Moorland Road, Weston S Mare. It is also anticipated that the starting time might be earlier than 9.00pm as it is the case on normal meetings. The executive will come on soonest with a statement with regards to the starting time for this special hosting. You are all welcome.
